Warmed Cheesy Onion Dip

We were making this every other weekend, just because, and finally had to say NO … I bet it’s been 6 months or so since I last made this … but when we went to see family in Indiana for Thanksgiving, this was one of the things that was on my list to share … so glad we got to try it again … AND now that’s it’s party season, we will be making this more in the month of December to share with all our friends for good cheer!

I strongly suggest you make a double batch if you have more than 8 or so people, it will be gone in no time at all!

This is one of those dishes that people will be crowding around, giving a little jab of the elbow at times to try and get a scoop of the yumminess …

Trust me, even the most Health Conscious people will dig in …

It’s damn good … give it a try!

1 cup of mayo (used my homemade stuff)
1 8oz pkg cream cheese, room temp and cut into cubes for easier mashing
1 regular size SWEET VIDALIA onion, diced (first time I used a regular onion and it was apparently still good … the sweet onion is much better)
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese (the real stuff)
generous sprinkling of black pepper
generous sprinkling of dried parsley

Add all to a large bowl and mix well. Really mash the cream cheese as it will want to stay chunky.

Spray a shallow baking dish with nonstick spray and cook 45 minutes or so at 350 til nice, bubbly and brown.

Serve with a thicker tortilla chip or hardy cracker (not a thin ritzy time thing, flavors don’t compliment each other)

Seriously, I was surprised at how fast this disappeared. You may want to DOUBLE the recipe so you don’t come back to an empty tray within minutes.

Looking forward to sharing with some of these great parties … make sure you check them out! Show Me What Ya GotWhat’s Cooking WednesdayIts a Party!Works For Me WednesdaySugar and SpiceWake Up WednesdayWhatever Goes WednesdayWednesday WhatsitsReal FunWhat I Whipped UpWork It WednesdayLovely Ladies, Weekly CreativeDomestic Superhero, All Things ThursdayThe Weekly CreativeTasty ThursdayFull Plate ThursdayCreate It ThursdayFabulously Frugal ThursdayCrafty Thursday ObsessionsShowcase Your TalentThink Tank ThursdaySimple Lives ThursdayFoodie FridayGet Real Frugal FridayFood on FridayFreakin Did It FridayFeature FridayThe Pin JunkieFreedom FridayFriday FavoriteFoodie Friday, A peek into my paradiseFoodie Friends FridayFriday FavoritesTGIF BLOG HOPWeekend RetreatWhat’s ShakinWeekend WondersWeekend PotluckGet Him Feed Anything GoesDwell on FridaysFriday Foodfight, Lil Luna Link PartyFoodie FridayTGI Friday Friday with Friends, Simple Living Foodie FridayInspirationsWeekend WanderWeekly RoundupFeature Yourself SaturdayThe Party BunchI Gotta CreateShow and Tell SaturdayShow Off WeekendShow Stopper SaturdaySweet and SavoryThe Weekend CreativeWeekend PotluckWill Cook For SmilesStrut Your Stuff SaturdaySaturday Show & TellSuper Saturday Show & TellSay G’day SaturdayNot Bad SundayPotluck PartySunday Showcase Sundae ScoopSuper SundayMop It Up MondayCreative MondayThe ScoopMelt In Your Mouth MondayPin It Party Made By You MondayHunk of Meat Monday What’d You Do This WeekendMarvelous MessMaking It CuterTime To SparkleMealtime MondayTime To Sparkle, Makin You Crave MondayClever ChickCreative Corner Blog HopMake Your Own MondayMix it Up Monday,  Save Money MondayLou Lou GirlsInspire Me MondayIn and Out of the Kitchen, MemoriesTasty TuesdaysTuesdays At Our HomeHow To TuesdayHandmade TuesdayMaking a HomeShow Me The GoodsTotally Tasty TuesdayAll My Bloggie FriendsShare Your Stuff TuesdayTuesday Talent ShowFat TuesdayPenny Pinching PartyThe Gathering SpotAnti-Procrastination TuesdaysKitchen Tip Tuesdays
